Fastest Finger Press Quiz Buzzer
Abstract
This Quiz buzzer can be used in the Quiz competitions at schools, colleges or TV programs. The basic concept behind this project is the fastest finger first. If more than two groups are competing in the quiz show then only one will be able to answer according to rule which pressed their respective buzzer first. This quiz buzzer has the capability for 8 groups thus having 8 push buttons. Each group respective to each push button is given name of group A upto H.
This project is based on microcontroller. Atmel 89c51 microcontroller is used which is for small code execution since having very low memory of about 4 kb. A buzzer is installed so that it buzzes each time a push button is pressed. 7 Segment display is used for displaying the alphabets A, B, C etc. This project is made portable by using 7805 voltage regulators. That regulates 9 volt to 5 volts. A standard 9 volt battery is used.
